Accidental and Experimental Archaeometallurgy 2.0 Conference
4th-6th June 2021
Ancient Technology Centre, Cranborne
To celebrate the 11th anniversary (would have been 10th if not for Coronavirus) of the hugely successful experimental conference at West Dean in 2010, and the subsequent volume of the same name, the Historical Metallurgy Society are holding a two-and-a-half-day experimental conference at the Ancient Technology Centre in Dorset in June 2021.
Accommodation/pubs and eateries are available in the local village. To book the on site facility please follow this link. There will also be an area to camp close to the activities (contact organiser for details), with shower facilities.
The registration fee includes all tea/coffee breaks and lunch on each day. A ‘conference dinner’ will be available on-site on the Saturday evening, in the form of a ‘Hog Roast’ with a vegetarian option.
Transport from the train station can also be arranged. From 12pm on the Sunday, our activities will be open to visitors.
